Nine days on the MO. (6-22 to 6-30) (4150 cfs)

Rising fish pretty much all day, every day.  PMD city.  Lights-out good.  Just like they said it would be.  Gotta float or wade to find the right flat(s).  Better have lots of backing.  Every fish is a workout.  Wow.
First Evening heavy spinner fall plus a hatch.

Creek

Nice to just swing the 3 weight, with a high riding fly, in all the pockets and pools.  They're not big, but a couple had the Hardy singing both up and down stream.  They're the feisty children of the hot Mo fish!

Brown Drakes at Sunset (865 cfs)

The Bug
They're giant.  Size 10 mayflies.  "Sailboats"  "Small birds"  Whatever the term, they are easy to see, bring up the bigger fish, and there's no doubt when a trout eats one.  Slurp!

Ranch 101 (865 cfs)

Its not the only way, but its usually the best way, and the Ranch way.  First, watch and wait.  A lot.
I like to sit down and wait for it to start.

Scan the water for a riser

Look for a hot fly that might match

Maybe there's one in here

Oh, just tie on the Rene' Harrop Last Chance Cripple

Position and cast down and across, carefully, to the target.

Nice fat Ranch rainbow eats cripple.

Thanks Mr. Fish.  See ya next time.  Rinse and Repeat.
