Downstream

Made the move downstream to the very bottom of the creek, where I haven't fished in nearly two years.  Water was low and wadeable, and there were mid-morning midges.  The wind blew things out the first morning just as the fish and midges were getting going.  On day two, the fish stayed up in some form for most of the mid-day.  Think I could hook a fish on the tiny little shit they were eating?  Not really.  A few hooked themselves I guess.  I had quite a few eats and missed connections.

Early morning shadows

It was down here the 10 am midging started . . . and quickly ended

Moved up to Betty's to fish in the wind

And a couple more ate this big ole #14 on the bank!

They started here about 10am again

Visibility was pretty good

Got this new-to-me captive midge from Buzz yesterday

Afternoon Cutt at the very bottom of Eva's

Last one for the week . . . on a little baetis
