Mornings

There is something magicical about the early morning hours on the river, still cool and comfortable, only the sound of the river and a few birds chirping. There's no boats coming down yet, no other voices. The caddis from yesterday start to flutter. The trout get ready to rise to the fly. I live for this, and all that comes with it. In the short window of summer hatches, maybe a month on each section of each river, these morning windows are even shorter. Mornings not to be missed.

This very fly is getting ate for two days now.  Corn Fed for sure

Tank of the month

Eats on the LC Drake today

Uh oh, time to break out these new waders pretty soon. The 2-year-old ones sprung a little left foot leak today.  I've never had good luck patching foot holes.
